A Spanish Villa for Every Taste and Pocket

Remember when only Hollywood stars and the super-rich could afford to stay in a Spanish villa? You probably don't because that was very long ago. Today there is a villa for everyone in Spain, from the most palatial piles on the Costa del Sol to the tiniest of cottages in the mountains.

If you are working on a shoestring budget then you will probably be looking for Cheap villas in Spain that are modest in terms of location and size. You will probably also insist that your holiday villa has all the facilities you require and sufficient space to accommodate your travel party.

The good news is that if you are prepared to stay in a villa that is a bit off the beaten track and certainly not in one of the top locations, you can get an inexpensive cottage, apartment or house in rural Spain.

The best option is a cheap villa that is on a main bus route or road to one of the famous resort towns on the coast. You can make daily journeys from the villa to dine in style and enjoy the beaches. There are many such cheap villas near Barcelona and Marbella.

Do not be afraid of the word villa. It tends to suggest a vast, expensive house overlooking the Mediterranean. In fact, all it means is a place to relax, and therefore a small abode or flat in a little Spanish town might be classified as a villa too.
